Gotta start off with excellent fish and the atmosphere is great. Ordering is super simple and I love the fact you have both a screen and a mic system for busy days. Fish and chips, 2 piece was good. Only thing I’d say was, I’d swapped a fries for a poutine.. The poutine was very very average. Gravy was good, but the fries seemed to be overdone a little for a poutine so it made the poutine kind of bitter. Eitherway. It’s been a busy day and I will not fault you on the fact your fish is delicious and I’ll be honest, reasonably priced to say that other locations (won’t mention names) that are super popular for fish and chips charged over 24 for JUST THE FISH. PS. Icecream next door is also great. Have kept it at 5 starts despite the poutine because you deserve the custom. Food quality is excellent and Especially as you employ many indigenous people also. Best fish n chips in the province. Fresh pickerel. Best fries too !! Highly recommend you go at least once but you will get hooked!!
Wow! This place has great fish & chips. Pickerel..nice. Also the facility ( serving area, indoor and outdoor seating, and the restrooms) is immaculately clean. Way better than your average highway pull-off. Oh.. and great gas prices.
On my drive from Northbay to Sudbury, stopped at this place to get some gas, which was easily the cheapest gas point on the drive, and was very happy to see that the fish and chips place was open and bumping. I ordered some fish, fries and onion rings, both of which were spectacular. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back. Ours are super convenient and the food is very affordable.
It's a really nice place to stop by and take a break for lunch and continue with the journey. The store is really cozy.
Absolutely delicious food and especially the walleye/pickeral. It was the best I have had. You get to pick curds or shredded cheese on your poutine as well. We will definitely return! My husband thinks the only thing that could make it better would be homemade tartar sauce.
The best best fish and chips around the North Bay, Ontario area. If you like fresh caught pickerel fish and chips or Poutine( your choice) any traveller's in the area. I would recommend this place anytime. The picture shown is the small 2pc dinner, with poutine and your choice of drink.
Stop in with my truck because I seen the big parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this hidden gem. The staff in the store and dry shop were very friendly. The best part was the fridge full of moose meat. Definitely looking forward to making the moose for dinner. Mmm Will definitely stop again on my next time through the area.
